The Legend
The Angola Horror Was No Accident
On December 18th, 1867, a passenger train derailed outside Angola, New York, killing 49 people in what became one of the deadliest rail disasters in American history. Locals call it the Angola Horror.
But what they don’t know—what was never printed in the papers—is that one man survived.
And he was never supposed to.
A Betrayal in the Gilded Age
His name has been lost to time, but whispers say he once worked for John D. Rockefeller, back when Standard Oil was still a rising empire. A laborer turned confidant, he discovered Rockefeller’s secret stash—a shipment of gold, documents, and forbidden experiments bound for a private estate.
They say he stole it.
They say he fled.
They say he bought a one-way ticket out of New York, boarding a train under false papers.
What happened next became legend.
The Birth of Pigman
The fire from the crash lit up the sky for miles. Bodies were burned beyond recognition. The wreckage sank into the snow and mud like a cursed grave.
Only one figure was seen crawling from the edge of the flames—a man whose face had been disfigured by molten steel and bone. He fled into the forest and was never found.
But he was not dead.
Years passed. Children vanished. Campfires told of a beast-man lurking in the woods, wearing a mask stitched from pig skin and railroad leather, dragging a rusted lantern and speaking in riddles.
Pigman was born in blood, flame, and betrayal.
The Barista Who Knew Too Much
In present-day Angola, a curious burrito barista stumbles across an old newspaper clipping in a forgotten attic box. One story leads to another. With the help of Vinny, a reclusive diner owner who survived his own brush with the legend, the two begin to untangle the truth behind the Angola Horror.
As they uncover what really happened, the past begins to claw its way back.
A Legend Comes to Life
Today, the Pigman myth lives on—through film, through game, through the whispers of those who still see him walking the trestle bridge at night.
